A well-prepared site lets the carrier place your container safely, efficiently and in the right position. Complete this checklist before delivery day.

Is your site ready for delivery?
Check all eight points in advance. This prevents delays and allows the container to be unloaded, supported and used safely.
Provide a level and stable base
Support the container firmly at all four corner posts so it cannot sink or stand unevenly. Use solid slabs or another suitable foundation on grass or sand. The truck must be able to stand on paving or road plates.

Keep space clear for the doors
Container doors open outwards and swing out by approximately 1.24 metres. Keep the full door side clear so both doors can open completely and access remains easy.

Measure the clear access width
Measure gates and passages at their narrowest point. Account for walls, posts, fencing and protruding parts that reduce the available width.

Check the access height
Check the entire approach for trees, branches, cables, roof edges and gates. Temporarily, more clear height may be needed when unloading by crane.

Keep space clear beside the truck
The truck extends stabiliser legs sideways during unloading. Keep approximately 5 metres of width clear of buildings, fences and other obstacles.
Check the complete approach route
The truck and container need room to approach, turn and manoeuvre. Look for narrow passages, sharp bends, soft verges and parked vehicles.
View delivery and placementClear the placement area completely
Remove pallets, building materials, garden furniture, vehicles and other objects from the exact placement area and the immediate unloading zone.
Report fences and obstacles in advance
If the container must be lifted over a fence, gate or another obstacle, always contact us beforehand and include photos of the site, approach route and obstacles.
